Middle States Commission on Higher Education
On March 10, 2022, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) approved the integration of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with and into Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania effective July 1, 2022, and noted the name change of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania to Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. These changes are documented in the Statement of Accreditation Status for Commonwealth University, which includes Mansfield University as an additional location.
Commonwealth University is accredited by MSCHE, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB# 166, Wilmington, DE 19801, 267-284-5000, www.msche.org. MSCHE is a voluntary, non-governmental, institutional membership association currently serving higher education institutions in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and other geographic areas in which the Commission conducts accrediting activities. The MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
Mansfield University's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program (with concentrations in accounting, marketing, and management) received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs during the 2016 spring semester.
Council on Social Work Education
The Bachelor of Social Work Program is accredited by the National Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), http://www.cswe.org. This accreditation, which the program has held continuously since 1983, insures high quality and competent social work preparation for practice. It also allows program graduates an opportunity to apply for advanced standing status in Master’s in Social Work programs. Information about CSWE can be found at their website. Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing - ACEN
The Mansfield University nursing program is currently accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Accreditation (ACEN). Successful accreditation indicates that the program has been found to meet or exceed standards and criteria for educational quality.

Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
The Mansfield University Radiology Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 2858, Chicago, Illinois 60606-3182. The JRCERT was established in 1969 and offers voluntary accreditation for diagnostic radiography, radiation therapy, medical and MRI programs. Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy (CoARC)

National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
The Medical Laboratory Sciences Program of Mansfield University is fully accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
American Chemical Society (ACS) – Committee on Professional Training (CPT)
The CPT, after a careful evaluation of the chemistry degree program at Mansfield University, has determined that the department offers a quality degree program to prepare baccalaureate students for professional careers as chemical scientists, thereby adding MU to the list of schools that offer an ACS approved degree program. National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)
The department of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). It is the national accrediting agency for music and music-related disciplines. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials. NASM accreditation information is also listed on the Music Department homepage.

American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU)
Mansfield University is a member of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). AASCU’s 430 members are student-centered public universities that provide access to affordable higher education and serve as critical economic development engines and cultural centers in the regions where they are located.
Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U)
Mansfield University is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). AAC&U is a national organization founded in 1915, concerned with the quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education.
Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC)
Mansfield University is Pennsylvania’s only member of COPLAC, a consortium of public higher education institutions dedicated to the advancement of a high-quality liberal arts education offered in a student-centered, primarily residential learning environment. Through our COPLAC membership, students have the opportunity to participate in COPLAC’s regional undergraduate conferences; submit their work to Metamorphosis, COPLAC’s journal of undergraduate research and creative activity; and take team-taught courses offered by the consortium’s institutions.
Scholars at Risk Network (SAR)
Mansfield University is the only PASSHE member of the Scholars at Risk Network, an international organization that advocates for and protects scholars around the world whose freedom and well-being are under threat. SAR member institutions may host threatened scholars on campus on a temporary basis (usually for one semester or an academic year), invite scholars to engage with students and the campus community through the SAR Speaker Series, and offer student advocacy seminars focusing on case studies of imprisoned scholars, among many other opportunities.
