GED testing provides an opportunity for individuals to demonstrate they have acquired the learning outcomes expected of a high school graduate and to be awarded a Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma.

If you are 16 or 17 years of age, you must meet the above criteria and also provide written verification from your school superintendent or principal stating that you are withdrawn from school to be eligible to take the GED test. In addition, you must provide a letter from one of the following:
Candidates for testing may not be enrolled in a public, licensed private, registered accredited or licensed nonpublic secondary school.
