Convocation and Campus Picnic
Convocation, a formal celebration of the beginning of the semester, begins at 11:00 in Straughn Auditorium, with your class photo and a campus-wide picnic immediately following in the green space outside Memorial Hall.
Collegiate Empowerment Events:
- Zero Shades of Gray (consent training) – during FYS class time W 8/25 & Th 8/26
- The Freedom to Be You – 7 p.m. Wednesday, 8/25
- Maximize Your Buzz (alcohol awareness) -- during FYS class time W 9/22 & Th 9/23
- Zero Shades Darker – 7 p.m. Wednesday, 9/22
- Zero Shades Freed – 7 p.m. 10/27 via Zoom
FYS Speakers:
- Harmony Becker, illustrator of our summer read book, They Called Us Enemy presentation on Wednesday, October 7, 2021, at 7 p.m., via Zoom.
- Harlan Cohen, author of our common textbook, The Naked Roommate, during class time W 10/13 & Th 10/14
