Alpha Sigma Tau (ΑΣT) is a national sorority founded on November 4, 1899 at Michigan State Normal College (now Eastern Michigan University) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Xi Chapter at Mansfield University was installed in 1965. On the national level, as well as locally the sorority supports Habitat for Humanity as well as the Wellness Women's Initiative.
