Mansfield University will coordinate non-credit
and for-credit initiatives to provide community leadership on the natural
environment. Through research programs
in the sciences and humanities, internships, workforce training, and
private/public partnerships, the University will provide resources for students, alumni, and neighboring communities, with a
focus on Tioga and Bradford Counties.
- Conduct community education, outreach, and research efforts addressing diverse topics relating to the gas industry, private/public land management, public health, outdoor education, and sustainability.
- Create and offer targeted continuing education and certification programs in cooperation with state and business partners to assist with conservation, education, and land use initiatives in the region, and prepare students to work in related occupations.
- Develop new academic programs and student-based research initiatives for Mansfield University students focused on environmental studies.
