"At Mansfield University, we develop leaders. We accomplish this by focusing on the four core values that have been our tradition since 1912: Character, Scholarship, Culture, and Service."

The Mansfield University Concert Choir’s final on-campus performance, before departing for Europe during the summer, will be presented on Saturday, May 3rd at 7:30 pm. After a “spectacular” performance at the Pennsylvania State Convention in March, the group is poised for a wonderful concert, which will be recorded live for CD production by Mark Records of Clarence, NY.
Their program will feature their entire repertoire for the World Choir Games. The tour from June 30 to July 14 will bring fifty-five MU students and eight guest travelers to Lübeck and Berlin, Germany; Warsaw, Poland; Vilnius, Lithuania; and Riga, Latvia, where they will participate in the eighth World Choir Games! Thousands of singers in 485 choirs from 59 countries around the world are currently registered to join together in festive competition for Gold Medals and Championships. The MU choir will participate in three separate categories singing four different selections in each: Mixed Youth Choir, Sacred Music with Accompaniment, and Spirituals. Their repertoire was selected according to specific guidelines and includes music from the Renaissance to African-American Spirituals.
Vicki Fensterbush, who is completing her MA in Music Degree in the Choral Conducting track, will lead the choir on two of the selections. Come ready to celebrate great choral music-making and cheer the singers on for their upcoming tour. This concert is free and open to the public.
