Campus Technologies will be upgrading the university’s “core” network infrastructure in August. The new equipment will replace our current technology that provides network connectivity to all campus buildings as well as off-campus network resources. The upgrade will start on August 11th and continue through August 15th. During that timeframe, we will be migrating and testing connectivity one building at a time. Our plan is to move each building at off-peak times to minimize a disruption in network services. Announcements will be made to affected users in advance of each move. Campus Technologies will formulate and share a detailed schedule prior to the start of the project. We anticipate only brief outages for each of the areas as they are migrated to the new hardware. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated as we improve the quality of one of Mansfield’s critical resources.
