Nigel is originally from the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area where he attended Bowie State University for his Bachelor's degree in Organizational and Industrial Psychology. He also holds an MBA degree with a focus on Operations Management. Nigel has been in the State of Pennsylvania for the past few years and joins us from Drexel University. He has been a leader in the Higher Education industry for over 10 years and has a deep passion and dedication to Student Success and Development. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, sports and outdoor activities.

Frank Crofchick

Frank is originally from the small town of Plymouth Township, Pennsylvania. He attended College at Kutztown University and received a Bachelors and Masters of Science Degree. Frank worked 10 years within their Residence Life Program and was previously the Residence Coordinator for Housing, Residence Life and Dining Services. He became the Community Conduct Officer at Mansfield University in June of 2013 and in August of 2016 became the Associate Director of Student Life, Clubs, Organizations, Greek Life and Community Service.

Ruth Hermansen

In fall of 2015, Ruth entered her fourth academic year within the division of Student Life. She has been working at MU for 17 years overall and previously held a position in the department of Athletics. A Mercyhurst College (now University) Lakers alum, Ruth became a Mansfield University Mountaineer alum with a Master's in Organizational Leadership.  She was the first generation to attend college, and played basketball for the Division II Lakers near hometown of Wattsburg, PA. Ruth treasures time spent with family - husband Gary, Cody (10), & Andy (8). She also rejoices in fitness activities, running in particular – having completed three half-marathons and one full-marathon. She also avidly spends time involved in the local YMCA, and volunteers with the DCNR & US Army Corps of Engineers with projects comprising of fitness and environmental passions. Heather is from Wellsboro, PA. She graduated from MU in 2015 with a BS in Dietetics and Sports Nutrition and is currently pursuing her Master's in Nutrition. Heather is a huge animal lover and enjoys fitness and outdoor activities as well as reading and cooking.

"Jackie" began her career at Mansfield University in 1987 within the Office of Admissions. Having spent many years recruiting students and eventually serving as the Associate Director, she has spent the past 10 years on the Sayre campus as the Student Services Coordinator. In Fall 2014, Jackie joined the Office of Student Retention and Student Life on the Mansfield campus, where she now works with student retention efforts. She enjoys working directly with students in helping them to become successful.

A graduate of Bloomsburg University, Jackie's background in English and journalism gave her the tools to become an effective communicator in her passion for working with young adults in higher education. In her spare time and as a proud mother of her two, (her own young adults) Zach and Paige, she cherishes spending time with her family, and also enjoys gardening, hiking, kayaking and living a healthy lifestyle. Her favorite times are spent on the beach, with sand between her toes!

Mary Beth is originally from the Binghamton, NY area. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, with certification in both Elementary Education and Special Education from Lock Haven University. While working full-time at Elmira College, Mary Beth obtained her Master of Science Degree in Education: Corporate &Community Education.

Mary Beth has served Mansfield and her students/alumni in many different capacities over the past 32 years. Her greatest joys are still the daily interactions with students. They keep her young, and she tries to help them stay grounded. Mary Beth comes from a family of Mansfieldians. Her husband (Frank) retired from Mansfield University after 38 years as a faculty member, and all 3 of their daughters (Carolyn, Kathy &Chelsea) are Mansfield graduates. Mary Beth enjoys antiquing, gardening, camping and spending as much time as possible with her grand-children (Gabriella &Jameson).

Donna currently serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Student Life Office. With over 20 years experience at Mansfield University, she has had the opportunity to work in several departments across campus and has gained valuable knowledge and skills throughout the years. Formerly from the Pittsburgh area, she lives in Mansfield with her husband, Steve and their three dogs.  Hobbies include downtime with her poochies, spending time with family, and riding ATV's.

Heather is the Graduate Assistant for the Student Life and Student Transition Office. She recently graduated with her B.S. Nutrition Dietetics Concentration, and is now pursuing an M.S. in Nutrition here at Mansfield University. During her undergraduate studies she was an Admissions Ambassador, Mentor for the Gateway program, member of Colleges Against Cancer, Transfer Student Organization, Kappa Phi, as well as a mentor for students entering the nutrition program. Heather's Graduate Assistant position allows her to continue to be active with student life on campus. She talks with current students and members of different divisions on campus about transitions during college. These conversations will assist Heather in creating programs to implement in the near future to assist MU students with college transitions. Outside of work Heather can be found spending time with her family and spoiling her twin nephews.

Steve is originally from the Buffalo, NY area. He earned a BA in Philosophy with a minor in Peace Studies from D'Youville College, Buffalo, NY, and an MS in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College. His professional work experience includes serving within the area of Student Affairs as a Student Activities Specialist at Erie Community College, Williamsville, NY, as a Director of Student Activities at Saint Bonaventure University, Olean, NY and as a Director of Student Activities and Programming at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Professional memberships include AEP, APCA, NACA, and Pollstar.  

He really enjoys family time, professional career, arts &entertainment, professional &college sports, travel, reading, boating, biking, and for many years he played ice hockey in the Western New York area. He currently serve as an off ice official for the Elmira Jackals (ECHL) professional hockey team.

Dave is originally from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He attended College at Seton Hill University and received a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science and History as well as a M.B.A., Specializing in Management. He worked at Seton Hill for 2 years within the Department of Residence Life, as a Graduate Residence Director, as well as an Adjunct Faculty member. From there he worked for The Pennsylvania State University's main campus for 4.5 years as a Residence Hall Coordinator where he gained an even stronger appreciation for Student Affairs, Residence Life, and Multicultural Initiatives. Dave started at Mansfield University in July of 2015, as a Residence Director and became the Multicultural Affairs Coordinator at Mansfield in September of 2015, in addition to his role as a Residence Director. Dave is excited to be working with Multicultural Affairs. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, friends, reading, playing games, traveling (mostly to Disney), and helping students.
