|Course Description:||Teacher education candidates will study the nature and needs of children with moderate to severe disabilities. Focus will be on the educational and transitional needs of these individuals. The teacher education candidates will develop knowledge and skills in identification, assessment, educational techniques and strategies which are coupled with supportive measure, materials and techniques. The teacher candidate will research best practices for education students with severe disabilities which will include instructional adaptations and assistive technology. A field component will be required.|
