Descriptions
A) “Intro to Music Sequencing”
- Mike Pounds: Demonstration of basic music sequencing, arranging, and editing of MIDI and audio files. Hands-on exercises will be provided.
B) “Martha's Claymation Station” **
– Martha Campbell (with assistants Mark Polonia and student Lauren Kroh): Use simple tools like the digital camera and free PC software, Movie Maker, to make a short stop-motion animated film. CD's will be given with the finished animation. This is a 2 session workshop.
C) “Intro to Adobe After Effects”
– John Shanchuk: Adobe After Effects is a powerful software not only for animating but for combining text, video, images & graphics. A general overview of some of the basic features and capabilities of this feature-rich tool will be presented.
D) “A Digital Transfer Sampler” **
- Kathy Anderson: Explore a range of mostly low-tech and nontoxic methods of transforming digital images into works of fine art, both 2-D & 3-D. Participants are encouraged to bring digital images of their own to experiment with during this 2 session workshop.
E) “Building Your Audio Toolbelt”
- Phil Ogden: Structured around using audio files in creative presentations. Audio file managing and editing, combining materials from different sources, copyrighting, and searching out free tools are topics to be covered.
Note: All workshops have size limits. You may be contacted for alternate selections.
