Mr. Dan Mason
 

Dan Mason earned his BA in English from Shippensburg University.

After four years in the infantry he earned a BS in English Education from the University of Wyoming. Mason earned an MS in Communication/ Journalism at Utah State University in 1994. Most recently he completed his MS in English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Before coming to Mansfield University, Mr. Mason taught journalism at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia where he advised the Critograph, Lynchburg College's student newspaper. Mr. Mason later joined the staff of Central Virginia Community College where he taught remedial English.

Mr. Mason returned to Pennsylvania and took a position at Mansfield University teaching journalism in 2002. Mason advises the Flashlight, Mansfield University's student run, student sponsored newspaper. He is a member of the New York College English Association, the National College English Association and the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association. He is also on the staff of the Williamsport Guardian newspaper.

Among his other responsibilities, Mr. Mason advises the Flashlight, Mansfield University’s student sponsored, student run newspaper. The Flashlight can be reached at flashlit@mansfield.edu.
