The Broadcasting program offers a rigorous curriculum in which studens design, write, edit, and create their own radio and television programs. Students practice their skills in the Butler and MUTV Studios.
Students can take their talent and get involved in the campus radio station and/or television station. WNTE and MUTV broadcast to the campus and local community. |
The Journalism program provides students with a thorough understand of every aspect of journalism, focusing on print.
Students learn how to write and edit stories and how to lay out newspaper and magazine pages. Students learn the history of modern journalism, how it has dealt with problems in the past, and how those problems have shaped modern journalism.
Students have opportunities to help create the newspapers and magazines in which their stories and pictures will be published.

The Public Relations program prepares students for a career managing the communication between an organization and its publics. It provides students with a thorough understanding of how public relations functions within organizations.
Students design and develop a variety of communication materials for specific audiences.
Students gain experience by working with actual clients as they plan and implement a public relations campaign and event for a community organization.
