This is a bulletin from the Academic Affairs Committee concerning proposed curriculum actions. Within the next 10 days, please forward any comments or concerns to the AAC Chair, Helen Biblehimer, Elliott Hall 203, ext. 4521, hbiblehi@mnsfld.edu.

The department of Mathematics and Computer Science has requested the following curricular changes:

#1 Action: Program Change: B.S. Information Systems

Rationale for change: Change to 120 credits as required by the SSHE

List all changes:
Drop the total credit hours requirements from 128 to 120 by reducing 8 free elective hours
Drop CIS 490 as a major requirement
Add CIS 390 as a major requirement
Make change from BUS 349 to BUS 350 (equivalent of CIS 308)

#2 Action: Program Change: B.S. Computer Science

Rationale for change: Change to 120 credits as required by SSHE

List all changes:
Drop the total credit hours requirements from 128 to 120 by reducing 8 free electives hours
Drop CIS 303 as a major requirement
Add CIS 390 as a major requirement

#3 Action: Program Change: A.S. Information Systems

Rationale for change:Course has not been taught for more than 3 years

List all changes: Drop ENG 230 as a required course

#4 Action: Course Change: CIS 303 Computer Networking

Purpose and nature of change: Change title of CIS 303 from Computer Networking to Web Site Design to more accurately reflect the content of the course, which was changed last year.
Old Course Title: Computer Networking
New Course Title: Web Site Design
