List all changes:
Special requirements added to the Secondary MAP 5500 courses for
the Collaborative emphasis (proscribing piano applied study). Specified
courses for the track in collaborative piano accounts for 17 credits.
These include MU 5552, MU 5520, MU 5519, MU 6670, MEN 55XX and five
credits of elective with listed restrictions.
Program Description for Catalog (if changed):
Adding to the current description -- The Collaborative Piano program
is designed to provide pianists an opportunity to explore the craft
of accompanying instrumentalists and vocalists with advanced study
in repertoire, score-study, rehearsal skills and interpretive skills.
Residency is required for this degree.
Program Objectives (if changed):
To develop the skills to accompany vocalists and instrumentalists
in the collaborative repertoire. This includes skills for score-study,
rehearsal techniques and performance practice.
Impact on other programs (if any):
The students in this program will accompany instrumental and vocal
students as a part of their applied study.
