Curricular Action Notice – Foreign Languages

1.      PROGRAM CHANGE: French BA

Rationale for change: To comply with NCATE requirements, BSE French majors must take the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and reach a minimum of Advanced Low before graduating. This requirement for BSE French majors has been in place since last year. BA French requirements should be consistent with those of the BSE French program.

List all changes:

Require BA French majors to take the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview and reach a minimum of Advanced Low before graduating.

2.      PROGRAM CHANGE: German BA

Rationale for change: To comply with NCATE requirements, BSE German majors must take the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and reach a minimum of Advanced Low before graduating. This requirement for BSE German majors has been in place since last year. BA German requirements should be consistent with those of the BSE German program.
