Course Description for Catalog
(limit to four sentences): For students
with little or no prior experience in Chinese (Mandarin) language. Skills are
taught within a cultural context and include pronunciation, speaking, and listening
comprehension skills, as well as an introduction to the Chinese writing
system. Prerequisites: (Courses which MUST be completed prior to taking
this course) None How will increased offerings be
staffed? Courses to be
staffed by visiting exchange faculty from China. New faculty resources needed? ____Yes
