Rationale for Wellness Designation
This
course provides important information on one of the most fundamental
aspects of human wellness. Integral to the course content and
objectives is the goal of helping students in the course increase their
understanding of human sexuality and to be able to make informed and
responsible choices that will impact their wellness.
Course Objectives:

Recognize the sexual anatomy, physiology, and development of both genders.

Understand sexual behaviors and attitudes in a cultural context
·
Understand the differences between men and women in sexual response.
·
Gain knowledge of sexual disorders and sexually transmitted infections.
·
Understand birth control, pregnancy, and childbirth.
·
Be able to communicate about sex.
·
Understand gender identity and sexual orientation.
