Course Description for Catalog
(limit to four sentences):
This course is
designed to build leadership and advocacy skills in how to maximize a school
library program to increase student achievement. Participants will learn to
apply the research, best practices in school library management, and relevant
assessment tools to build a collaborative culture in which teachers and the
library media specialist work together to integrate information and technology
skills with classroom curricula . The culminating assignment results in an
action plan and a professional development tool to revitalize the school
library program to impact student learning.
