| B. | P. Travis announced that an updated calendar of events for April 12 - 29 will be coming out tomorrow (April 9) with our paychecks.
| C. | B. Timko reported that there has been a "rampant increase" in errors in ERs – things missing, in wrong place, etc. J. Mumma stated that there have been wrong grades, too, and that the Math/CIS department had emailed the Provost about this earlier in the day. J. Moore said that he had read this email just before the meeting and requested the opportunity to follow up on the problem himself, since the Academic Records office ultimately reports to him. B. Koloski asked if DataTel can generate ERs itself. J. Moore answered that it can, except that ours are too complicated. P. Travis asked if Moore needed additional information about this from other departments; he said he did not.
| D. | B. Timko reported that an advisee of his, on being reminded of a Gen Ed requirement, said, "Don't worry about it. I'll just petition in two years." He was very disturbed by this attitude. J. Moore pointed out that, while students can petition anything, not all petitions are approved. Also, advisor and chairs have both the right and the duty to sign petition forms stating that they do not support the petition, if that is the case. He said that his office has not seen any different trend in the number or type of petitions this year.
| VIII. | The meeting adjourned at 4:35. (Brown/McAdoo) |
| Respectfully Submitted, Catherine M. D'Ortona Secretary of the University Senate |
