II.      Announcements

President Loeschke accepted resolution on Alumni Hall with concerns. Concerns are re: safety, cost, etc

III.      Approval of University Senate minutes of September 18, 2008

IV.      Treasurer’s report (Iseri not present, remarks by S. Davis)

Please remind colleagues to give Faculty Assembly dues ($10). Many faculty are neglecting this. All money goes towards student scholarships.

SD would be happy to send a friendly reminder if necessary.

Comments: there have been objections to previous publicizing of who had/had not paid.

Motion: S. Davis to send faculty a friendly reminder re: dues.

WIG Appointments: Appointed Guenther, Purk, Kopf. Guenther is chair.

COM changes:

Old Degree and Program Title: COMMUNICATION

New Degree and Program Title: ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION

Name change more in line with what they actually do.

BK: Does this conflict or overlap with Leadership Program?

SY: there is overlap, everything in Leadership is communication. This is the same program we’ve always had, it just has a more accurate name. Some of the courses are part of the Leadership minor.
