Report: $860 deposited. We were behind over $1000 at beginning of semester. We are still $82 in the hole. We have had
negative balance since 2005! This will be discussed
at next executive committee. Faculty did not know
we were behind. Request: that faculty know we are in the red when we are asked

Academic Planning ( Coming up: Outdoor Recreational Leadership, Communications,
Foreign Language, Music Industry C.
Administrative Affairs/Elections (Verno) - No Report D.
Student Affairs/Admissions (Hoy): Marquis for AHUB is ordered. 4 classes taught in Maple 09. Looking into a point system for event attendance. 1st Year Experience Committee looking to bring in
author. Concern about RA homophobia in dorms. Some students having trouble with Webadvisor, Add/Drop
dates, and advising form… Discussion of changing withdraw date to later in semester. SD: this will probably
come up in AAC in the future. The change of date was based on the MidTerm
grade, encouraging struggling student to meet w/prof or advisor to know whether
to withdraw or proceed. LLB: Regarding
intervention - AHD offers a college strategy class for students in academic
distress E.
Information Technology Voice over IP phone service in South Hall is going
well. Phase 2 of project is in place,
entire project will take the next 2 years to complete. Grant Science, Decker and Butler are next.. Blackboard One Card system is in place and moving forward
smoothly. Vending services have been
added, mobile scanners are in place for campus events. Phase 3 of the project is for Residence Hall
door access. New campus website.
Many departments have already matched to the main university template,
others are encouraged to follow by contacting webmaster Suzanne Murphy (x4832)
to arrange for an IT liaison. F.
Library Advisory (Holderby) – call for ideas for next fall’s N Hall
scholar G.
First Year Experience (Verno) – discussing
opening weekend; want to increase attendance at convocation. Looking to have
day 1 (UNV & convocation) on Friday before classes start on Monday. Looking to bringing in Francis Bok – author of reading. Looking for Peer leaders for next fall. Student concern re: repeat assignments if a change of major. AM: many courses have
important course work for their specific UNV concentration, if they change
courses. Unfortunately, repeat course work is necessary. H.
