The Tioga County Partnership for Community Health
is working hard to promote
the health of mothers and their infants by promoting tobacco cessation,
early prenatal care, folic acid consumption and physical activity. Tioga
County is at or is very near several of the
Healthy People 2010 goals of
this focus area. These efforts are described in detail in the
report Maternal and Infant Health in Tioga County, PA,
and corresponding fact sheet, both
published in September 2003.
