As tobacco use continues to be the leading preventable cause of death in the
U.S., it is a leading priority for Steps to a Healthier Tioga County. The
Tioga County Partnership for Community Health, through the
Tobacco Coalition
Work Group, is working hard to support tobacco cessation and limit youth
exposure to tobacco products. These efforts are described in detail in the
report Tobacco Use in Tioga County, PA published in April 2003. *An updated Tobacco Use Fact Sheet (May 2006) is now available.
