What is ESP?
Mansfield’s ESP (Early Start Program) allows qualified high school students to take Mansfield University courses – in online, hybrid, or face-to-face formats – and earn college credits while still enrolled in high school.

Students in Mansfield’s ESP program enjoy a significantly reduced tuition rate. The cost of tuition is just $50 per credit for PA residents and $60 per credit for NY and all other non-PA residents. Please note that in addition to tuition, students are responsible for acquiring the necessary required materials, such as textbooks, for each course.
Which Courses Can I Take?
The appropriate courses are determined collaboratively by the university and the participating school districts. Courses from a variety of disciplines are offered. Please note that registration is on a space-available basis. View our available courses:

How Do I Qualify for ESP?
Local school districts work collaboratively with the university to identify students who are ready for college-level work. Students interested in applying to our Early Start Program should consult with their guidance counselors first.

How Do I Pay?
Students enrolled in the Early Start Program can pay for their course online through Student Self Service (login required) >> Student Finance >> Make a Payment. Additional options include pay by phone at 570-662-4888 (leave a message) or by mailing a check payable to Mansfield University to:
