Human Resources Scholarship

Mansfield University's Office of Employee, Equity and Compliance Services is currently accepting applications for its annual scholarship program. This program's objective is to support student success among those students who have expressed an interest in a career in Human Resources. Monies for the scholarship were contributed personally by individuals within the department.

Students may apply for this $500 scholarship to assist in offsetting the cost of tuition, books, or other fees. The scholarship will be awarded on an annual or semester basis to one or more students, depending on funding availability. Current year recipients may reapply for one subsequent year (for a total of two years), providing the recipient continues to meet the conditions of eligibility and funds are available. 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Mansfield University and have a declared major in Psychology with a concentration in Human Resources;
  • Must be a returning sophomore, junior or senior demonstrating successful academic performance by maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher;


To apply, students must submit:

  • Application form
  • Resume
  • Two letters of recommendation from faculty members or supervisors

All applications will be reviewed by members of the Office of Employee, Equity and Compliance Services. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their commitment to the HR profession and future career plans, academic achievement, and financial need.

Completed applications and supporting documentation should be sent to 118 Alumni Hall or emailed to no later than April 22, 2016 to be considered for a Fall 2016 award.
