ACBSP - The Department of Business Administration is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBPS). ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the business programs and degrees offered within the Department of Business Administration at Mansfield University meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP.

ACEND - The Mansfield University’s Nutrition Program, Dietetics Concentration, is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

CoARC - The Respiratory Therapy Program at Mansfield Universityis accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
MU Radiologic Technology Accredited By Sole Accrediting Agency
JRCERT - Mansfield’s Radiologic Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry. This full time two-year program consistently produces competent entry-level diagnostic radiographers.

ATHLETICS
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
Originating in 1951 to administer and promote men's athletics, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has evolved into one of the NCAA's most heralded intercollegiate conferences.
Long-known as the NCAA's largest one-state conference, the PSAC now consists of 18 institutions located within the Commonwealth, making the PSAC the largest NCAA conference regardless of state borders or classifying division. The league is also distinguished as one of the largest football-playing conferences in the NCAA, and, with 23, the PSAC sponsors the second-most championships in Division II.
NCAA Division II
Divison II is a collection of more than 300 NCAA colleges and universities that provide thousands of student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level of scholarship athletics while excelling in the classroom and fully engaging in the broader campus experience. This balance, in which student-athletes are recognized for their academic success, athletics contributions and campus/community involvement, is at the heart of the Division II philosophy.
Mountaineer Sprint Football Program Stands Apart From the Rest
CSFL - Mansfield is the only Pennsylvania State School and the only public, non-military school in the Collegiate Sprint Football League. Over 30% of the Mountaineer Sprint Football team are from a state other than Pennsylvania.
Birthplace of Night Football
In 1892, Mansfield University hosted the first night football game in history. General Electric demonstrated electric lighting at the Great Mansfield Fair, which allowed Mansfield Normal School and Wyoming Seminary to play the first ever lighted football game. Every year Mansfield pays homage to its history. Centered around the first night footbal. The annual Light Up Mansfield - AGAIN! (LUMA) celebration is Mansfield's way of celebrating its rich history of sports, community, innovation, and leading the way!

Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training
Act 120- Mansfield is one of only two state universities to provide individuals the opportunity to obtain an Officer Certification from Pennsylvania’s Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission.
