This position is a vital part of assisting new students in their transition to Mansfield University.

Spring recruitment is open,  if you're interested in becoming a leader:

  • Understand the qualifications - Students must have the following qualifications and skills to become an Orientation Leader: you must be a current MU student, possess excellent verbal skills, the ability to interact professionally with peers, faculty, staff, and parents, excellent organizational skills, basic knowledge campus involvement, and basic knowledge of MU history

  • Application process:
    • Understand the qualifications and employment dates
    • Complete an Orientation Leader application
      • Application deadline:  February 16, 2018 (For the Spring/Summer Orientation sessions)
    • Complete a personal interview

Kyle Cannon

I am a senior Music Performance major, studying voice under Dr. Todd Ranney, with a minor in Business Administration.  I currently serve as the President of the MU Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, as well as the PR Director for the MU Student Government Association and as Vice President of the Gamma Nu chpater of Alpha Kappa Lambda.  Throughout my music career here at MU, I have appeared in MU's fall 2017 productions of W.A. Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" as Basilio as well as MU's spring 2018 production of Bernstein's "West Side Story" as Tony.  I have spend the last two years in the MU Concert Choir and Chamber Singers and have toured with the MUCC throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany during the summer of 2017.  I spend much of my time bettering myself musically, as well as socially and professionally and am eager to further any ogranization that I am apart of.




Haleigh Carlson 

My name is Haleigh Carlson and I am from Elmira, NY.  I'm a sophomore and I study Environmental Science with a minor in Pre-law. On campus, I'm an active member of a sorority and this is my second year being an orientation leader! 

Jordan Cash-Rawleigh

My name is Jordan Cash-Rawleigh.  I am from Bath, NY.  I am a first-year student studying Environmental Biology.  I like to run and I also participate in Army ROTC.




Brooke Cervoni

My name is Brooke Cervoni. I am a senior here at Mansfield. I am a Psychology major with a concentration in Forensics. This is my third year as an Orientation Leader. Other than that I am currently the Head Resident Assistant in Oak Hall as well as I am Historian Chair in a sorority here on campus.
