Dr. Holtman is Full Professor of German, French, and Italian languages and cultures. He also teaches linguistics courses such as History of the English Language and English Grammar. He founded and functions as the Director of the MU/FSU Exchange Program (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität) in Jena, Germany. Dr. Holtman's special interests include German, Dutch, and Scandinavian languages; French, Italian, and other Romance languages; Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Finnish; historical and comparative linguistics; and phonology. He is also a cellist with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and in various Mansfield University concerts. He has worked at Mansfield University since 1991.
