History
The National Headquarters of Alpha Phi Sigma granted a charter to Mansfield University in November of 2009. The M.U. chapter was given the Greek designation of Lambda Zeta. Dr. Scott Thornsley pursued the activation of the honor society at M.U. On Thursday, December 3, 2009, 17 criminal justice majors were initiated into the Lambda Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma. The ceremony was held in the Traditional Reading Room of North Hall Library with M.U. President Maravene Loeschke in attendance. These first group members are regarded as the "Founding Fathers."
