Curiosity for our traditional notions of what is unnatural has led me to collect organic and mechanical representations from our daily lives that I reshuffle and recombine into works of art.

Creative challenges can be an example of apophenia. When there is a piece of something that you tell yourself you have to use, sometimes the rest of it appears in your imagination in such a way that you just have to commit it to paper.

Loomis Gallery Endowment
Mansfield University's art gallery - in the newly-constructed Allen Hall - is committed to fulfilling the mission of the university: scholarship, service, culture and character. Thomas Loomis, our benefactor, with his unwavering foresight, embodied all of these ideals in his tenure as both Gallery Director and Professor of Art. Therefore, the Mansfield University Foundation formally designated the name of "The Loomis Gallery" to honor Professor Loomis's perseverance and dedication to Art at Mansfield University.
With your help, we can achieve our goal of nurturing a constant cultural presence for professional artists and promoting the arts for the enrichment and enjoyment of all those who live and work in our region.
