The State System currently offers eligible employees a Basic Group Life Insurance policy provided by MetLife. Voluntary supplemental life insurance and long-term disability plans are also available for purchase for eligible employees.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's) governed by the IRS code, allow employees to have income withheld from their paychecks before taxes for eventual reimbursement of certain medical and dependent care expenses.

Workers' Compensation
The University provides Workers' Compensation insurance to all employees for work-related illnesses and injuries.
State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP)
SEAP provides employees and their family members confidential, no cost assistance with a broad range of personal and work-related problems.
Tuition Waivers
A waiver of tuition to the State System universities is available to eligible employees and their dependents. Eligibility guidelines and specific benefit administration differs according to the employee’s collective bargaining agreement or non-represented status.
To apply for a tuition waiver, please follow the steps below.
- Sign-in to the HRConnect Employee Service Center [passhe.service-now.com].
- Choose Request Assistance/Benefits/Tuition Waiver Inquiry/Request.
- Complete the tuition waiver form within HRConnect.
